copy of 2007 tsx navi for my 2004 tsx

Hi, I'm really bad at searching these forums, but I just got a loaner 2007 TSX with navi and i notice that it has updated maps. Can I make a copy of that DVD so that it can be used in my 2004 tsx? I have both mac and pc and dl dvdr on both computers. I know its not morally correct but I really can't afford $150+ for a new dvd.

thannks,
-mike

Yes, and you'll need dual layer DVD's (relatively pricey). I copied a GM nav disc this way. My regular burner software couldn't do it so I downloaded some freeware (http://www.imgburn.com/).

I think the 04/05 Navi system (orange DVD) is a little different from the 06/07 Navi system (white DVD). I'm not sure what will happen if you use the wrong disk; but you could lock up you Navi system (worst case scenario).

I think the current version for 04/05 TSX navi is version 3.60, orange disk, for about $185 from Acura.

sorry, the copy will not work. The 06/07 nav systems are different from the 04/05 systems. There is more info on this in the A/V forum, but you will need to source a different updated disc to work in your 04.

No, just take your time. That software runs pretty well in the background and gives you a good audio alert when it's done.

it WILL NOT work. by all means try, but the current discs are:

04/05: Orange Disc, v 3.60
06/07: White Disc, v 4.55

So if you're looking at a white disc and its v 4.31, 4.33, or 4.55, you're SOL. sorry buddy.

Just an FYI, v4.56 is the lastest TSX Nav update in the white disc.

Do you still have the 07 DVD disk? I would be willing to take it off your hands for a small fee.

Hey guys if you have a 04 tsx navi disc and if you update. Do you get the background change that the 05 or 06 and 07 have now. Which has more colors that you can switch to.

Thanks
