Control your wipers with the hand brake!?
Been reading this board for a while - discovered something interesting the other day while driving in the rain...
With the wipers on Intermittent setting, car stopped, hand brake up - drop the hand brake, and the wipers take a swipe... I guess in preparation for you to start moving.. Thought is was a nice touch

Really! I'm really impressed with Acura, I mean they thought of everything. I also took noticed of something cool when I'm driving in the rain. Whenever I floor the car and look at my tach, I noticed my wipers swipping at 6000rpm.... just in time to give me clear visibility before vtec kicks in

I have never found the relationship with the hand brake. When the car stops (0km/h) and you release the footbrake then a wipe will be taken while in Int mode. Its actually an annoying feature if you are in stop and go traffic - you might as well just keep them in low or keep them off and use the mist function.

The reason it works with the handbrake is the int. setting doesn't work when the handbrake is on. SOOO when you take the brake off it kicks in.
As people above have said just use the regular brake.

If you're driving with wipers on and then quickly shift into reverse, the wipers will move in the opposite direction! give it a try next time you're on the freeway....

I tried it last night and it wasn't controlled by the e-brake. it was controlled by the foot brake. I tried it at a stop light like 3 time in a row and it worked everytime I took my foot off of the brake. The guy behind me was prolly like, "wtf?"
