Call them would be best. Why do you need to get in contact with them anyways?

They do no deal directly with consumers, would have to go through a Hondata Dealer

i don't think hondata has a dyno at their facility...also i don't think they will do reflashes on the spot...you have to go through a hondata dealer....

Nope!

What you can do is contact Kevin @ Epic Motorsports and get it done through them on the spot.

afaik, epic is down the street from hondata, so you will go to epic, pay them and then they will remove the ecu/imobilizer (don't know if its extra $$ for this) and they will take your ecu to hondata and then you will have the reflash done within a few hours. but you can't directly buy the reflash through hondata, although its the hondata reflash.

Epics info in on Hondata's site under dealers. Call them up set up apt, if necessary. Drive over, they drive you car over to Hondata and bring it back reflashed. No need to remove ECU.

Hondata is pretty close to them. Quick & easy with Epic, I used them too

I heard it's easiest to go to Epic if you're in Socal. They will just drive your car over to Hondata for the reflash. I don't think they will need to remove your immobolizer or ECU.

You can also get the reflash through Acura of South Bay in Torrance. Same wait time (just a few hours) and does not affect warranty (if that is as issue). But i do believe you need an appt. as well.

Turnaround time is about an hour with an appointment. Epic also has a dyno so, if you want, you can do before and after runs.

This is the way to go if you have concerns about it affecting your warranty. No better response than "It was done by an Acura dealer" if your service dept. is hassling you about a mod.

CALL Kevin -- he's not the best at answering emails. In fact, I don't remember a single time he ever responded.

Doug comes by Epic to use their dyno. Kevin is part owner in the shop because there are two "parts" of Epic's business.

Good luck finding the shop. There wasn't even a freakin street sign for their main road that they are located on. Other than that, they have pretty good service and Kevin is a cool dude.

hahaha..yes..Be the reds..

btw..i was still unable to contact Kevin at Epik..left him a voice massage..but didn't get any reply..

so i called Acura of South Bay in Torrance and talked to fello named Rex, who was VERY VERY nice and very helpful. When i mentioned that i would be coming form Washington State he said the dealership will provide me with a rental when the TSX gets sent to Hondata, thus i made a appointment with the dealer.

One part i didn't like was that he said that the reflash would cost $650 and would take half a day to do, but i guess its worth extra money when the reflash is done through Acura dealership...

But i would still prefer to do it at Epik if Kevin does call me back as 2>hour service would be much better then half day, even if acura provides me with a rental

i don't know about the policy in the states but in here you have to be over 25 in order to have a loaner car from the dealership, and i dislike this policy.

If I am not mistaken the 25 and older policy applies to rentals as well.

Yeah, Cesar Esquivel at South Bay told me it would take half the day too, but i ended up getting the car in about three hours. Plenty to see at the dealership, Starbucks across the street and a shopping center next door as well.

Total came out to $645. $575 for parts, $22.05 for labor and $47.44 tax. And there you have it. Just a bit more cash, but peace of mind that warranty is still alive.

Good luck!
