So i was shopping today and saw a cobra radar detector on sale for $30.. it kinda i think is this one. but not 100% sure.. http://cobra.com/products/radar-dete...t-data-display

so i was wondering if i should buy. give me honest opinion and the pros and cons of this item. thanks for the help

Cobras suck. I wouldn't get anything other than the V1 or RX65Pro or higher model like the STi or Passport.

I known ppl who have had Cobras and they crap out on them in no time plus give a lot of false positives and sometimes notify too late. I have the RX65 Pro and have never had a ticket or anything since having it, more than enough time to alert and it talks which is a nice feature. The V1 is great too, my boy has it. We ran the two side by side and never had any issues with our stuff and always were alerted at the same time, I even beat his a couple of time :p

Overall, look elsewhere. You get what you pay for is definitely something that applies to radar detectors. I wouldn't risk cheaping out on one and possibly getting a big ticket or whatever. .02
