CNET TSX Video
CNET TSX Video
Nice little vid praising the TSX on Cnet. He is off a little though with the claims that the stereo is upgraded if you get Navi and that XM isn't standard. Still a good watch. Even a couple AZ'ers in the comment section.

Nice.. He even test drove the one in RBP too
Although i would have to agree the audio should at least come standard with MP3 playable CD player. I mean that's an alternative to Ipod at least. Isn't that how most people listen to MP3's before the Ipod came out a couple of years ago. At least that's how i listen to MP3's i burnt them on a CD and listen to them on a portable CD player.

imo, i hate the fact that CNET trys to review cars
I mean yea they check out all the tech stuff in the rides, but when they start deameaning the car bcuz it doesnt have freakin mp3/dvdaudio/mid/blu-ray/hd functionality, that's just proposterous!

What about how the vehicle drives? All I hear there and in the written reviews is about bluetooh, stereo,
(Was that our jesuswalks in the one review?
)It's driving the TSX that still gets me excited after 2 1/2 years, not the damn stereo. Half the time it's off so I can hear the sweet engine.

Oh well... maybe I did something wrong. Btw, I have a 06 TSX also... but it's non-navi tho. Wonder if that makes a difference.

are you sure it didn't just automatically convert the mp3s to cda format? how many songs are on each disc. and it plays through the stock head unit?
For those that managed to get their TSX to play MP3 CDs, what program did you use to burn your CDs?
I used Nero to burn my disc and it didn't play in my TSX.... maybe I'll give whatever program you guys use a try.

I think Acura doesnt want to say it can play mp3's because it can only play some formats. If acura did say it does work but then people figure out that only some work or it doesnt they will be very mad.
I"m willing to bet anything what program he used to burn the mp3's onto a CD automatically created them into audio files on the CD. It's the only thing that makes since, and a normal user would never notice.
On the other hand, maybe it is just a crazy thing.

I'd say it was converted to either a cda or wma format by his burning software. If he only has about 14-18 songs then it did. Sure would have been nice if our CD player did take MP3 format.

6 cd's is about 500 mp3s. Is that how many songs your burned? I doubt it.
I'm just annoyed that they didn't bother to check their information for being factual. There was a decent amount of misinformation in that video, which is rather irritating. I'm happy they took the time to review it, but if they're going to do it, they should at least do it right.

Kinda makes you wonder about all the other stuff they "review"
I think these guys get paid by the manufacturers to do these reviews.

Why not? No, the Honda exec werent sitting around a table and deciding this. But some marketing team could have. A strategic direction is set to try and better target the tech savy 18-35 year old. That gets funneled down and someone decides to get cnet to do a review. I think its very plausable.

I found out by accident that it played mp3's as well. I burned an @$$ load of songs on to a DVD (I think it was a dvd) and put it in the changer instead of another cd by accident. Then when that dvd came on it wasn't till the 3rd or fourth song that I realized it was playing my mp3's. It made my day.

Seriously? I'm gonna need some proof because if this is true, then I'm gonna try it on my car.

What year of car? Navi/no-Navi?
Most importantly - what program did everyone use to burn their MP3 discs???????

how many songs did you put in the cd?
if 16-20 each cd......then it's cd
if it's 100-150 songs each then it's mp3
i seriously doubt it...since mp3 deck player is a option.
