I was driving to work on a 4 lane road, 2 lanes going one direction and the other two parallel going the other direction. I'm in the far right lane going 45 on a 45 when a minivan decides to pull out in front of me. If I had slammed on the brakes I would have hit it and the car behind me would have rear ended me. Luckily there wasn't anyone in the left lane next to me. I swirve into the left lane and as I do that the minivan proceeds to turn into that lane. Left with no options I swirve into on coming traffic. Mind you I just bought my car the 22nd. I didn't want to get into an accident. I swirve into on coming traffic. This is when the VSA kicks in. As I swirve I'm heading toward a semi in the very far left lane he honks his horn I swirve to correct to prevent from hitting the semi. Then I have to correct again to get past the van and back into the correct lane. All this happened so fast I just reacted and the VSA prevented me from oversteering and hitting the semi and hitting any one of the 75 cars that were on that road this morning. Thank you Acura for building such an awesome car. Excuse me while I clean my underwear.

Same thing happened to me when I had my IROC except that there was a curb median separating the oncoming traffic. When I swerved I hit the median and F*c%^d up my front suspension. Insurance took care of the problem but my rates went up. Of course the van didn't stick around to see if I was OK. :swear2:

I'm with you on that but you have to visualize it. When I see the van enter my lane it was the front end I see. By the time I switched lanes the front end was in the left lane and the rear was in the right lane diagonally. I wish there was another option cause I'm pissed that I had to go into on coming traffic.

clubber i'm black but I've lived long enough to know that most people don't mean anything by it. They use color or other adjectives to merely describe the situation regardless of how unimportant that adjective. And if there was some prejudiced behind the adjective I feel that you can't unlearn ignorance and choose not to waste my breath trying to change it.

yeah... but it's not like you mention if the guy is white.
some white guy pulled out and... etc. so using black in this case isn't really needed. I tend to use white/black if I don't know the guy's name or happens to be an adjective that gets to the point, the only white guy in the group. for example.

dude, let me take your shovel away. i'll have to check some of your post and see if you actually use white guy in describing a situation. if so, my bad.
my only point is, in the above comments, the use of the word "black" in describing the situation wasn't really needed. i will go furter and say that had the guy been white, the above comment would have read something to the effect like: some guy pulled out in front of me.... notice that the word "white" was absent.

ok my bad, i'm not saying you are racist. just pointing out that the race of the person cutting you off wasn't really relevant. also, i only commented because somebody took "offense." but turned out that they were kidding.
