Climate Controls/Navi Question

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I am doing some research on the TSX before making my purchase next year.

I was looking at the differences between the Navi and the non-Navi versions (the interior that is) and I noticed that in the Navi version there is no fan control button.

Is there a button that I'm overlooking or how can you manually control the fan in that case?

On the navi models, the fan controls are on screen controls that are accessible when you press the AC "hard button"

Pressing this button changes the Nav screen to allow you to turn on/ off the AC, set vent directions, and fan speed.

Get the navi, you will not regret it. in my humble opinion, it really completes the look of the interior (never mind the fact that it impresses the ladies!)

On the Nav version AC can also be controlled via voice command.

Yep,

Navi ROCKS, love the voice control and since it is automatic climate control, why do you need to change the fan speed ??

You can use the touch screnn or voice command to activate all the features. Get the Navi !!

Hahaha,

I agree, I love the Navi in the TL (wife's car). But I'm currently working on a car computer for my Prelude right now and I was considering transfering it over to the TSX (IF I end up buying one).

The dilemma I have is whether to get the Navi and leave it as it is or to get the non-Navi and replace the centre console with a Navi console and put my car computer screen in there.

The latter is more work but there would be so much more functionality with the computer.

Now if we could only get a hack to change what the Navi says - ie: "You missed your turn idiot." or ever classic Homer Simpson - "Doh". Imagine the possibilities.

Acura/Apline if your reading this...

Yes, just hold down the voice control button and say
"fanspeed 3"

You can do fanspeeds 1-5.
There are so many commands. There's actually a screen if you hit the "info" button and then hot "voice command help" on the screen it will tell you most of the commands that it has.

Yep, the voice commands are awesome, especially if you're in the middle of weaving through traffic!

By the way, you don't need to hold down the button. Just press it and let go. It beeps to tell you it's ready for voice command. Press --> Beep --> Talk.

HAHA, I AM!
I've never heard that saying before.

Still indecisive about the Navi or not but it seems like a lot of you do like the navi function in the car.
