Climate Control Questions

I have an 06 TSX non-Navi. Now that the weather is turning hot and humid here in central Virginia, I have a few questions about the climate control system. Sorry for the length of the first question, but its kind of a unique situation:

1. When I had my state inspection done in January, the Acura tech placed the inspection sticker on the windshield right in front of the climate control system's "sun sensor". So the sensor is always in shadow, so to speak. In Virginia, the inspection sticker is supposed to be placed at the bottom center of the windshield, so the tech didn't do anything wrong technically. But I feel that it would have been smarter to place the sticker slightly off center, so that the sun sensor on the dash could do its job more efficiently. Am I worrying over nothing? Would placing the sticker off-center slightly make any noticable difference in the cooling of the car's interior? If so, how do I get the sticker relocated? (Scraping it off will ruin it.) Can I just go to the dealer and have them replace the sticker to a better location?

2. Regarding the air vents next to each front door (not the center vents) -- which setting on the slider is "fresh air" and which is "recirculate"? (The open circle or the filled-in circle?)

Thanks!

circulate is a button by your climate control buttons. It's the car with the u-turn like arrow. Those circles by the vents are to open and close them

They put my inspection sticker right over the sun sensor too. I moved it over about 4". I used a razor blade, and a paper towel soaked with Goof Off. I repeatedly wiped the Goof Off around the edges while using the razor blade to scrape it off. It took some patience, but I got it off in one piece. Don't know if it actually makes a difference with the climate system.

Consensus from an earlier thread on the same matter (same state) was that their might be some impact. The sun sensor uses certain values to adjust the climate control settings in a manner to keep the temperature where you set it. The lack of a full sun value from the sensor would mean that the climate control system would underestimate the level of cooling needed at some times, and thus cause some hunting by the system as it predicted inputs from it's temperature sensors show higher than predicted values.

Total impact, unsure, but likely not great. It'll probably be a bit of an annoyance, and wouldn't hurt to move the sticker. BTW, the Goof Off method is the way the windshield replacement guys do it...seems to work great.
