Clicking Sounds

Does anybody have/had clicking sounds coming from the center of the dash near the radio. I have a auto non-navi and it sounds like there is a clicking sound when the not when the car hits a bump but rather when the "attitide" of the car changes when going from one direction to the next. I have elimoinated all of the objects from the center bins as I was afraid it might have been something in there. It also sounds like there is a clicking sound coming from the stick shifter as well (perhaps the plastic casing rubbing) but I cant find it. This stuff drives me crazy and I fear I am going to harm myself and/or my car driving around trying to figure out what the heck it is...any help is appreciated!

Are you sure this isn't the infamous windshield squeak/creak?

I looked up the windshield creak you mentioned. The issue with my car is that the car doesnt rattle when I hit a bump but rather I hear a creak or click when I make a sharp turn. But it doesnt sound like there is something rattling. Perhaps I dont have the right link to the windshield creak you mentioned but my impression is that that occurs when you hit a bump. Any help would be appreciated as I am getting frustrated as heck with this. Thanks!

I think I've encountered this same issue. It seems to come from the place where the panels on either side of the shifter/cup holder region come into contact with the panels on either side of the radio/air conditioner. I've placed pressure on the seams between the two plastic panels, and the sound went away. I took it in to the dealer and they put some sound dampening tape in on the right side, and all was well for a few weeks... unfortunately, it appears to be coming from the left side now.. Hopefully if I take it in again, they can make it go away for good.

Hi,

I just got the new TSX Auto two days ago and had 300KM on it. I start hearing the clicking sound coming from the center console near the transimission knob. The clicking sound happens randomly but quite frequent. It seems happen more often when the car is changing lane or turning. This sound is not lund but when I turn off the stereo, it become quite annoying.

Any suggestion on how to eliminate this clicking sound. Thanks in advance.
