Clearing Headlights

Hey,(yes, i did try searching before im posting) me and my friend jut decided that our thanksgiving break project is clearing my headlights, as in taking out the orange marker. I couldnt really find a thread on how to do this? Is it easy as just disassembling the headlight and taking it out? Or if you could just refer me to another diy thread, that would be great. thanks

You have to cook the head light assembly in the oven at like 325 for 10-15 mins... can't remember. Someone on here has written about it. I've taken a warrantied one apart before. Sealing them back up is the big PITA. You have to warm them back up and put the two sides back together. There is a type of sealant that looks just like the stock stuff. Just remember, if you mess them up, you might as well contact MrHeelToe and get the JDM set.

Also, moving this... it isn't about performance.

Hi

I`m a new user on this forum
I did some search (many) and I did not find any good answer (with pic maybe) ..

My question is how I take OUT my headlights ??
Do I need to remove the front bumber?
And if I do, where is the bolts?

Sorry about all the question, but I did really not find any good answer on the forum :s

And about this topic, when you have removed the headlight from the car (tell me how plz)
Then you FIRST warm up your oven to the right temp.
Then you TURN IT OFF and then put your headlights in it
Make sure you dont place any plastic bit of your lights on the metal in the oven..

I have done X numbers on retrofit with HID.. but yet not on my new car.

For BacktoStock, I wouldn't recommend any of you to DIY the headlight.

It's far more complicated process that you thought and you will be REALLY mad when you see condensation in ya nice projector HID headlights. Besides, what are you going to replace the orange marker?

BTW: Clear does not looks good as you will see the bulb, go for smoke.

Grab a JDM/Euro Headlight and sell your current stock headlight to make some $$$ back.

And yes, in order to take off the front headlight, you will need to remove the bumper.

I done few and never had any problem with condensation. If you do it right then there shouldn't be any. But, it takes a lot time and skill so I personally won't recommend it.
good luck with that..

But how do you remove the bumber ?
Is there bolts under and on the top ?

I got the Honda Accord with smoked sides..
But I wonder about buy the Yellow one you got in US.
And If I do, I guess I could sell my smoked...

Still I wonder if it`s a hard job to remove the bumber.

On my 93mod Civic it was 1hour job to remove the bumber...

an hour? Was that your first time doing it or something? It shouldn't take no more than 20mins.
