Civic Si exhaust?

I was driving home from work and I saw a 4 door civic si with exhaust and it sounded extreamly good for a civic I don't know how to describe it but it wasn't a high pitch sound like the old civics would any exhoust for the TSX give it that nice deep sound

yup , i have friends with si sedans, the OEM exhaust is actually very nice.

as you mentioned, it's quiet and smooth, yet when above ~3K rpm, it gives nice deep tone enough for people outside the car to feel that it's not OEM at all.

I wonder if anyone makes exhaust for the TSX that would give that sound out my way I rarely see any TSX with aftermarket exhaust or aftermarket anything for that matter.

I think the Tanabe exhaust is supposed to have a nice deep tone. It's not cheap though.

Tanabe MT's nice and deep until you put on a header and high-flow cat. Then it gets raspy. Trust me.

Did it have a Mugen Body kit? It might have been the Si Sedan with OEM Full Mugen Package. The exhaust was probably the Mugen exhaust then.

^^^ +1 for the Comptech exhaust.

The header actually gave it a nice growl, but the high-flow cat completely destroyed the sound of my car. Too bad the gains from the cat outweigh the costs....

Not all high flow cats are created equal. Some are much better than others as far as flow and noise.

The main reason to install a high flow cat is have better exhaust flow. Ideally, you don't want it to sound any different than the stock cat. Unfortunately, RT seems to be the only bolt-on option available. If you want something better, you have to go custom starting with a good cat. www.metalcat.com.au

yes it may be similar to comptech ss exhaust

but comptech is much deeper than that. plus, comptech exhaust is deep tone thruout all rpm range.

i love it, it's jus that i want a silencer for highway driving.

i've been driving on comptech for ~8~9months. it's great fitment, dang shiny, not one of those ricey huge can design. sounds best as a 4 banger.
