IMHO, the dual exhaust is a major esthetic feature of the TSX. I love the rear view of the TSX: tapered from the trunk lid, into a deep bumper cover with the two horizontal marker lights and the aggressive looking dual exhausts. No matter what the performance gain, I wouldn't modify the exhaust if it changed that quality of the TSX.

I can appreciate that there is a performance benefit. But there are good mods and not-so-good mods. And IMO, when it really looks like a mod, it's not a good one. Going from dual to single exhaust on the TSX leaves a space in the rear bumber cover where the old pipe used to be. And the new single pipe doesn't even fit straight in space of the one it replaces. No offence, but it just doesn't look good to me, even if there is a jump in engine output.

oh damn that makes my post irrelevant. I figured they were rebadged TSX's since the license plate area is not what I would call European (but does look NA).

I don't get the wing (not spoiler in this case). What do they think they're going to do? Fly? Extra HP? Maybe it's just to get attention. Attention WHORES!

These attachments are especially helpful if you need to iron something and the ironing board is broken.

You know, that reminds me... I once saw a car (can't remember the make) that appeared to have dual exhausts, but as I pulled up behind it, I thought it was strange that I could see the ground through one of the exhaust "pipes". It turns out that the "dual exhaust" was just an add-on (and this was factory-equipped!)

I wish I could remember what kind of car it was...

I guess if you want to retain the look of the dual exhaust, but want a performance increase, you could just keep the other tailpipe still attached (just not connected to the exhaust) when converting to single.

Even if you could get to a speed in a regular street car where a wing like that would generate any meaningful downforce (which is the only real benefit of putting a wing like that on any car, usually a race car) you would need a significantly stiffer suspension and front-end downforce to keep the car from understeering right through a bend.

Generating rear downforce with a wing like that would steal all kinds of grip from the front and the car would be unmanageable at high speed. I'm sure it was put on just for looks, and I'd be surprised if there was any significant aerodynamic effect at normal speeds. Good investment...:P
