Changing Wood Dash to Silver... Pics Inside for Comparison

Changing Wood Dash to Silver... Pics Inside for Comparison
Hello all...
Ever since I got my '06 TSX, I have contemplated changing out the wood dash to silver. I have seen many vehicles with the tan leather/black dash combo pull off silver trim quite well (BMW 3-series, Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Passat - all standard or factory options), but have wondered if the TSX could do the same.
My feeling is that the silver dash would tie in better with the steering wheel, radio knobs, shifter, and blue lighting. Others have told me that the wood looks good/warm/classy with the tan leather.
I have a quick photoshop to give me an idea what it would look like (the silver in the photoshop is a bit darker than it really would be, I think).
What do you think?

If Acura offered the parchment interior with the silver trim I would have chosen that in a heart beat. I think I must be the only one that thinks it looks great. IMO the wood trim is too old men's club, especially the color wood the TSX uses. Its too strong and intensly orange looking. I like the look of the wood used in the new MDX as it looks very close to a silver/aluminium trim. If its possible you should change and you will have something very unique.

Please come to your senses.....Silver Plastic looks cheesy like plastic aftermarket hub covers from K-Mart....WOOD LOOK has a touch of class.
Interesting world where a poll is needed for this seriously life altering topic.....

I'm with TMETCALF...if I was going to get the parchment interior, I would have wanted the silver trim. I too think the wood trim is too "orange". If it can be said the silver trim looks cheesy, it could just as easily be said the wood trim appears obviously fake. True, a "wood look" does add/have a touch of class...but the Acura TSX wood trim doesn't in my view look much like real wood - it is "wood plastic" after all.
I'd go as far to say that the silver trim is a much closer match to real metal than the wood trim is to real wood.
But these are just my personal opinions. Everyone buys his/her car based on what he/she likes and wants....

But to give Acura credit they have been able to market the TSX to two different markets with the silver trim for the younger sportier age range, and the wood trim for the more refined, classy look, and we fit in to each of these perfectly and I applaude Acura for this even though I cringe at that cheap orange oak wood trim!!

I like the parchment-wood combo personally. I believe it looks much more luxurious! Then again....I do agree with the other comments. By getting the wood you lose the "sporty" interior styling.
I would keep the wood, silver on parchment seems too bright for my liking. Ended the end its all up to your personal choice though, if you feel like a change then I say go for it!

Thanks for all the comments, everyone. The radio issue might hold me up from really doing anything... new suspension, wheels/tires, and speaker upgrades will probably take precedence over the trim... but you never know.

wood and partchment look great on the PWP, Im a bit biased but I wouldnt change the trim to silver, that looks best on ebony or grey int. I picked PWP over the darker colors just for the partchment/wood option. Its all personal preferences though.

I love my PWP with the faux wood accents, but sometimes I wish the silver accents on the steering wheel matched the rest. Wood accents would look dumb on the steering wheel, so I'd be okay with that aluminum look all around with parchment.
