Changing front bumper
Changing front bumper
Just a couple of quick questions, How hard is it to change a front bumper? i can get a next mod front bumper for $100, i already have the a spec skirt package will it look weird with just the next mod bumper? and will my fogs fit?
next mod bumper...?
guessing mugen replica front bumper?
1. it will look weird imo. mugen tsx parts hangs a lot lower than oem... lines wont flow
2. fogs will not fit
3. it takes all of about 10 minute sto take off your bumper. check the faq/diy thread

^ yeah what he said.
and another note, don't expect to just take off the OEM bumper and slap the
next mod one on. I've read and seen a bunch of stuff on his work, and perfect
fitment is not guaranteed, or even common. pretty sure he makes his stuff out
of fiberglass, which is a bear to work with.
so yes, it would probably look bad.
it would certainly probably look like a fake (replica).
depending on what color you have, it could look bad even if the
fitment is good. like if you have PWP, painted fiberglass hardly will ever match
the painted metal. PWP doesn't take kindly to different materials next to each other.
if it is unpainted, you'll end up paying a body shop tons of money to get it
to fit right and to probably have to blend paint into the rest of the car so it
doesn't look terrible.
I'd say move on, look for another option.
or save up some money and buy the real parts.
