Question Cell Phone Location?

Where do you keep yours while your driving?

My Motorola V 60i fits neatly into the "NOT AN ASHTRAY" compartment, but I can't stand the bright red color glaring up at me from the open compartment. I'd like to color it black but don't have a clue as to how to remove it... anyone have a diagram or instructions?

TIA,
Santa Rosa Steve

When charging, I use the cupholders or just leave it in the bin. When not charging, I clip it to the passenger sun visor.

I keep mine in my jacket. My phone has bluetooth, so I dont have to take it out. I wish I have the new TL, but Driveblue is good for now.

I keep mine in the cup holder. Its a shame there is no pass through from the armrest compartment to the cupholder to pass the charger through....

If i'm not mistaken the red "not an ashtray" is an adhesive stick on.... you can just pry that out. I'm positive that is on the 99-03 tl's and cl's. I believe that should be the same for the tsx. Hope this help.

Yes there is..... Open the entire compartment plug your chrger in and run the wire throught the hole that is on your side of the top layer of the compartment, you know that little tray that is there? There is a hole for a wire to pass through. Pull the wire through and down into the cupholder and you should be able to close the lid. It sounds harder than it is!!

1.) In the cupholder....and I use the outlet in the armrest console compartment to charge it.

2.) The red fuzzy ashtray-substitute snaps in with 4 tabs but it's in there awfully tight. I would not recommend trying to remove it without first removing the entire "ashtray" and outlet assembly. It was a "challenge" to remove it with the assembly out of the car on my workbench. I removed it when I had the console apart to install the cassette player (instructions at https://hondacuraworld.hostasaurus.c...tructions/tsx/) and I modified the assembly and use it for the remote display of my Valentine-1.
