Carbon Fiber Dash Kit

Carbon Fiber Dash Kit
I've been researching Carbon Fiber Dash Kits, and this website seems to have the best deal, w/ the most selection http://www.wooddashfactory.com/pages...tno=FAT-04TSXM
Has anyone installed one yet? Kinda curious to see how the kit looks before purchasing one. Don't want to over do it. I want to make the dash look more sporty, not ricey
What's your take on the dash kit in Carbon Fiber? Will it make the interior look better, or just make it look over done...

Actually, I like their selection of real woods better (if what they are selling is legit). If they could replace the fake aluminum running across the dashboard with real maple, I think I'd spend 300 for the whole kit.
Not a big fan of the CF, think it's too ricey.
Junkster, who had fried rice for lunch today.

And anyhow the A-spec model soon to be released will be released with a carbon fiber dash similar to what is currenlty in some of the TL's. Carbon fiber is not only functional, but looks good too.

To really use CF in a useful manner, get a CF hood, CF-supported seats, CF trunk, and than get the interior replaced with CF. Than we're really talking useful CF.
Junkster, who wonders if these kits are really real CF.

The difference is that the kit in the link is just stick on plastic that looks like CF if you have your beer goggles on. That type of "CF" is pure rice. If you had actual replacement pieces for the dash, that would be a different story. Not functional in any way other than saving about 6oz over the OEM pieces but it looks cool.

We just had an experience with this same company (under one of its many different names) to replace the fake plastic wood, or "plood", in our PWP.
The kit offers more pieces and it's cheaper. But it's not the same. In outside light, the plood from this company looked ok, but under street lights it turned a muddy brown. I suspect you'll get the same thing if you try to "match" a metal finish.
Search the threads here for "wood dash" to see previous comments.
BTW, we wound up getting the "official Acura" 9-piece set for $283.45, counting shipping, from HondaAcuraWorld. Easy to install, and it looks "right". If you don't mind spending that kind of money for 9 pcs. of plastic... but you were going to spend almost that much to get the wrong thing, right?!
