car cover
Hi, my parking space has no cover so I am thinking about buying a car cover for my TSX. Anyone know the difference between an Acura original TSX car cover and those $40 ones from pepboys besides the printed "acura" on the expensive one? Thanks.

In my experience car covers are nothing but a hassle.

The TSX cover is made from the "Block It" fabric listed on this website:
http://www.carcoversdirect.com/fabrics_materials.php
It's a lot better than the generic-fit and cheap fabrics of the Pep Boys brands. However, I'd spring for the extra cost of a custom fit. Buy one from an independent company like carcoversdirect and save about a lot compared to the Acura-branded one. They'll be almost exactly the same except for the logo on the front.
Also, fabrics like evolution are designed to avoid scratching as much as possible, but always a bad idea to put one on a really dirty car.
My condo has a shared parking area, so I tend to put the cover on when I go out of town, primarily for ding and dust protection.
