Yeah, it's so much fun to drive, sometimes I catch myself taking it out for a spin just to drive it. Back when I first got it, I managed to put on the break-in miles in 3 days, despite not really having that much stuff to do.

I think as you own it longer you'll find that although you love driving it, you have to balance the fact that gas prices even on a 4 banger can add up, and putting excessive mileage on your car isn't good for it.

17 months here... minus one month of it being in the body shop...

36k miles / 16 months = +2k mi a month

I have about 16K miles and coming up on 2 years of owning the TSX. It is still a complete blast to drive this thing. I still wish it had a bit more straight line pull, BUT then I hit a corner and realize why I chose this car as my sedan of choice in the <$30K realm

at least i'm not the only one...

when i first got the car, i found any possible excuse to drive and take the long way everywhere. but now, i'm a pharmacist floating between stores, so my one-way commutes range from 10 to 30 miles everyday. i just broke 4,500 miles after having the car for 2 months and 2 weeks. so a li' over 2,000 miles/month. kinda starting to worry about it. not so much the price of gas, but just the miles on the car. but yea, I LOVE DRIVING IT!

Ditto

Love the whole TSX driving experience as well, but not to put a damper on this particular post, but my driving experience would be that much better if I could get the windshield to stop cracking over those bumps now that its cold here in Pittsburgh.

I have read through the dedicated threads per this problem, but just checking in to see if anyone out there has had this problem fixed (and permanenetly), through their Acura dealer. The home spun fixes (shims) I am hesitant to try, and feel that the burden should be on the dealer. Any news is appreciated.

Off now to drive the TSX to lunch, and will love every moment of it.

You should ask that question in the said dedicated thread.

My dealer told me this morning that there will be a real fix soon: See Post #169 at https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...?t=3019&page=7

I used to be about driving it all the time. I'm at this stage now...

Handling
Ride
Handling
ergonomics of the interior
handling
trim bodysize, easy to handle in the city
handling
capacity to whip this thing around tight curves; i.e. handling

I think its the handling

i think i'm getting there...as i mentioned before..i only work 3 days a week..thats about 250 miles a week total mileage...but living here in florida you almost always have to drive far cause where i'm from everything is spread out..not too many buses or taxis..i'm always on I-10 or I-95..so i rack up alot of miles..
i average about $25 a week on gas (premium)...so i am watching my mileage a little more now...but hell...i still love to drive my baby..

Uhhh.... isn't it obvious for your low mileage?

It makes sense, because you bought your TSX to PW on the forums, not to drive it.

iamhomin, who has 17,7xx miles in his 14 month old car.

Yeah I was sort of obsessed with it too. I insisted to everyone that I would drive, even if it was someone elses errand, and insisted on going places when I felt tired.

The result?

10000 miles in 6 months.
