A/C compressor not engaging ?
it was 86 today in ohio i kicked the ac on and wow hot air , i had it on about 1 week ago it was pretty cold in the city until i got on the freeway which made no since at all so i figured it was low so i bought a can of freon put it nothing happen the gauge said i was in the range it needed to be the condenser fan was even on i checked the fues relays and everything i even spun the clutch on the compressor to make sure it wasnt locked up !!!!
any suggestions or known issues with the 2006 tsx 6speed ac units? i have a friend who can drain it alll and put it back in like it was new again should i start there? thanks

Was compressor engaging and running? If not, you did not install any refrigerant.
If compressor is running, is the low side (large hose) hose getting cold at firewall? It should be cold and sweating water from condensation.
If you have cold low side hose, the air is being heated by heater core due to failed air mix motor or possibly ac temp control issue.
good luck

Check to see if you have +12V at the 1pin connector at the compressor (clipped to the fan shroud at the bottom as I recall) with the system "on" ie. condensor fans running. If you do, then the compressor clutch field coil is bad. You can replace it without replacing the entire compressor, but you do have to remove the compressor, and it often requires a puller to get the pulley off.

i put a test light on it today its getting power idk about 12v power or not so would u just buy the remain for 120$ shipped of pay 70-90$ for a clutch and have the hassle of pulling the clutch off ? lol

If you're getting power to the compressor clutch, only two reasons for compressor not running; 1) excessive clutch gap or 2) clutch coil has internal defect,,open.
To determine which fault, try rapping the clutch plate w/ a stick (carefully!) when AC is commmanded. If compressor kicks on you know clutch gap is the problem. If not, check resistance between compressor lead (single wire) and ground. If open, you need a new clutch coil (new compressor).
Clutch gap can be adjusted in place (someone posted on this recently), but it's a bit of work.
good luck
