Just came from the dealership. I now have my vin#. I wish I can somehow track where my car is though. Anyway, I'm really excited! The general manager said it should arrive the 3rd week of February!

I see you are from Chicago....care to share how much you paid and which dealership? I am surprised you got your hands on a manual. And PWP w/ nav and ebony interior...that's the EXACT same combination I want!!!! SOOOOOO jealous!

 

I am dying to get mine too since my sales guy now has told me he successfully latched one from another dealership for me. PWP 6MT navi unite! I am 'supposed' to get it next week!!! I don't plan on doing too many mods, but who knows?!? How about you, Oldman?

This forum has been more than educational. I have ordered the Monster Ipod link (gotta be prepared - buy at Amazon, cheapest around), underbody kit with OEM spoiler ($1,600 installed) and plan on tinting all 5 windows. I will post pictures once I get my hands on this thing!

BTW, $29,400 or $500 below MSRP before destination- not the best deal around, but I am happy with what I am going to get since I had my heart set on this early on!

I managed to get the springs, rear camber kit and rear sway bar uninstalled. I couldn't get the icebox and front camber kit uninstalled as I somehow lost a piece from my stock intake and lost the stock front camber kit. I was thinking if I should pay the dealership to switch my intakes when I take delivery or just wait until I'm able to save for the Mugen icebox I've always wanted.
My current plan is to get the A-spec suspension this time around. If I don't get a good deal on that, I will most likely get a set of Koni yellows and match them up with my comptech springs

 

Here's the thing... I've dealt with the dealership for a long time and the general manager ordered that combo for me without a downpayment or talking price (makes me a bit nervous). All I was told is that I will be happy with the deal when it's time to sit down and crunch numbers. Historically, they've always given me a good deal such as getting kbb private party price for my trade-in and comparable price with what other people are paying for the car being purchased. We'll see if the trend continues. I've heard other people have not been as lucky as I am with the dealership (Arlington Acura) though so there is a possibility for the deal to go sour in which case, I'm going to either consider a different car or go to another dealership.

Are you in the Chicago area also? I started a thread that compiles chicago prices but I think it's off the radar now. Not too many chicago members I suppose. Anyway, I will update it and plug your price.

 

Ah...I see. Please keep us updated on the deal. If the deal doesn't work out with Arlington, try Pauly Acura at Highland Park. I never bought a car from them but both time I went for a test drive, the sales guy was very polite and helpful. They are not a big volume dealer so price may not be optimum. And stay away from McGrath at Morton Grove...they rip people off...tried to sell me an '05 at MSRP back in November.

 

Knock on wood for both of us - no, I am in the bay area in CA. It seems prices around here are not all that competitive (compared to HollywoodTSX in LA, that is)

Personally I have less faith in the system. I would definitely negotiate prices now so that they can't turn the situation on you! I know it's not too much to ask for dealerships to be fair, but hey, people are usually out for themselves. Good luck though! Do I sound too negative here?!?

 

Hey old man, our cars were built on the same day--mine being 6MT black on black w/ Navi. Hopefully the truck will arrive in our neck of the woods around the same time--though I haven't got my VIN yet....

 

My ASM/black 6MT non-navi was supposedly built on 1/24/06. I don't have a VIN yet either, and the estimated delivery date I'm getting is March 10th.

I guess that since mine was built at essentially the same time as yours that it wouldn't arrive 3 weeks later than yours (being that we aren't but like 4-5 hours apart).

 

 

Update: Estimated delivery date is February 27th. One more week!

 

Congrats again, hope you get her on the promised date! PWP/Ebony was a color combo I wanted but Acura didn't offer that particular combo for the 04's.

All PWP's in Canada have ebony because there is no other color choice for 04/05.

 

Just got the call from the dealership. The car is waiting for me. He was off by just a day as the initial estimate for arrival was the 27th. Not bad right?

Car looks great, I ordered the same exact combo (minus OEM bodykit) and it should be at the dealership by the end of this week! I can't wait to get behind the wheel of my 06 6mt especially coming from an 04 5AT. It's too bad for me the ETA of the car was originally 3/1/06, and now it's a good 2 weeks after around 3/16, the suspense is killing me!
BTW please take pics when you install the springs/konis.

, i'm switching from a black/parchment 04 5AT/non-navi, to an 06 6MT PWP/ebony/navi basically switching to the exact opposite car in every way; black w/light interior-->white w/dark interior, 5AT non-navi-->6MT navi. Gonna feel like a whole new car!

how come this kit looks different then other the front kit...??

 

You must be referring to the 2004 kit. These are the 2006 design.
I felt the 2004 looks more aggresive. What I like about these is that the design would be less than likely to scrape when going up or down steep ramps
