Brakelight modification.

Do you all think it would be difficult to wire the two red lamps on the trunk as brakelights?

What 2 red lamps? You mean the two that are just used as parking lights but don't light up when you hit the brakes.

Hmm, not sure how difficult it would be...but why would you want to do that?

careful dremmeling would do teh job... splice off of the other brake wires. I did it before on my civic to light up a part that didn't light up.

You'd need a 3-wire connector, 3-connector socket, and new 2-filament bulbs as well. Running brake light power from the center high-mount brake light will be somewhat like running wiring for the wing spoiler brake light, with some extra splicing.

I popped the reflector out the other day and saw it would be easy to do this, so I ordered a couple of hyperwhite LEDs off Ebay. I'll splice it into the rear lights so they are on when the headlights come on. I'll post pictures when I'm done.
