Brake Caliper Painting?

Ok three questions... what kind of paint did people use to paint their calipers? Anyone use Dupli-Color??

Also, did anyone not take off the calipers when painting?

Pictures?

I used VHT silver for mine. I painted them back in January. I didn't remove them from the lines. Just bagged the rotors and removed the pads. I did 2 good coats on each one. It took about 2 hours total from start to finish. I never took any pics for some odd reason. I guess I should do that.

They still look great after 5 months.

Although I haven't painted mine yet... you definitely want a clean surface to paint on. A careful scrub with a wire brush and some brake cleaner solvent will take care of it.

I just did it and didn't even take off the caliper. I could have, but I didn't find it necessary. If you can't then dont worry about it. As long as you know how to take off a wheel and have a tourque wrench to put them back on then you are good to go
