Question Body Side Moldings

I checked out posts to the old thread on body side moldings but saw nobody who actually installed something. I love my TSX, but UNFORTUNATELY I am getting ding after ding on this car. The first one happened two days after I bought the car and I continue to get them. Yes, I am careful, but I use the car every day for everthing, so I am at continuous risk. My '97 Civic had only a few dings after 7 years - not too bad - but my '04 TSX has almost caught up!!@!!!! This is unacceptable. I am mad as hell.

Has anybody bought the European Accord strips? Would you PLEASE tell me how you ordered these strips? My car is dark gray so the strips won't be that annoying. I just can't see paying $300 to a body shop every few months to repair dings. Damn! Damn! Damn!

If someone has useful information, please share. Thanks in advance.

Door dings - like stone chips - are a simple fact of life. Love it or hate it, it's gonna happen...door strips or not.

My 2 previous vehicles (99 Civic & 02 Acura EL) both had door strips and both had (several) door dings. The biggest problem with door strips is that (on most cars) they are too low down to really be of any help.

Best advice: park wisely, Grasshopper.

Here at my office, there are several known door-dingers...I avoid parking next to them at all costs. When shopping at malls, try to park far away from everyone else...or park near other nice cars.

Hope that helps ya!

Apparently my luck sucks b/c in the last week I've gotten two door dings in the parking lot at my apartment. I think the guy who parks next to me is the one doing it. I'm getting a little pissed off, I'm going to start carrying a hammer in my car . The next door ding this asshole puts in my door I'll be putting 5 in his.

we have assigned spots, i can't do anything about it.

there is someone with an integra on one side, he seems fine and doesn't touch my car. i think its the asshole on the otherside with the ford ranger.

anyone have any suggestions on how to remove door dings? its pretty small but pisses me off anyway.

No don't! it won't help! Volvo, BMW & MB (most suv are more expensive than tsx too) can give you a very serious ding! Park beside Civic, Echo, Corolla, Kia, Hydandi...etc ne import small car because they are small so have more space between and also I find those driver are more better person than those driving Euro(but not me). And most important is it won't be that hurt even they ding your car!

another option which I have seen ppl do is to hang a piece of foam over the door.
