Just picked up my SSM TSX about a week ago. My dealer is offering this protection package called "Body GLO" and I am a bit skeptical. According to the dealer, I pay them $299 plus tax and they put some kind of exterior chemical on the paint so that I "dont have to wax the car for 5 years." According to the official documentation I read, it is susposed to include some interior stuff as well but when I asked my dealer they said that their particular dealership only does the exterior protection part for $299. Has anybody run into this situation or something like it? Can anybody offer any advice/ info ? Is it worth it to get the package?

Not sure if the Body Glo stuff is the same stuff as the Simoniz system 5 treatment which is a thin coat of teflon that is applied to the exterior and some interior surfaces like the carpet. It costs around $400 and does come with a five year warranty against acid rain, bird crap, and etc. Here's the website...

The protection package I was offered was $299 for the exterior only. I just talked to my dealer today and he said that it is a paint sealant that protects the finish. The "bodyGlo protection package" is susposed to include the interior, which I am interested in, but my dealer says they dont offer anything for the interior. They suggested I use surface wipes (like armor all). I am still trying to decide if its worth it. I would most def. pay 300 for both the interior and ext.
