Blue tint

I just came back from the dealership and i'm picking it up in a few days and the first thing i want to do is get tints. I've noticed on alot of mercedes they have this light blue tint i was wondering if there was a place to get them.

I've never seen the windows tinted blue.

Do you mean on the mirrors?

I think he is talking about the CLK coupes a few years back, their windows used to have a blue tint to them.

That's the color of the MB glass on some vehicles.

It does look good, but I don't know anywhere you can get it aftermarket.

And it's within the "70%" light transmission rule, so it isn't considered "tinted" for legal purposes.

Any car that comes with tinted glass from the factory is actually baked into the glass. It's not a film that you can buy.

How much does it cost to have your windows baked like the factories do? I've heard about dippiing the glasses into some chemicals to darken the windows.. Is that the same thing?

That Mercedes has an aftermarket tint so you can't really see the factory blue. I think you just posted it because of the 40-something girl.

This is a better example. I would check out to see if SunTek has a tint with a bluish tint.

SOrry for pulling an old post.....

Did any find any pics of blue-tinted cars??

Im thinking of doing the same on my PWP .... I've seen a white jetta i believe last year or year b4 on the road in Toronto with blue tints and it looked amazing....

Any tint shop can order this (special order) but it costs a bit extra...

I was quoted $300 for the job by Thornhill Tints for those in Toronto...

Yeah..

I haven't seen an aftermarket blue tint, but I have heard that Sundek makes ones that's supposed to (keyword) look like a Mercedes tint.

Here's some info about it: http://www.tintdude.com/forum/lofive...hp/t12895.html

Post pics if you do it..
