Blue Ambient Lighting on the 06 TSX?

When the 05 TSX was featured on the acura website they had a demo of the "soft blue ambient lighting" for the interior. I no longer see it in the Interactive Showroom. Is this still a feature in the 06 model? Can anyone snap a quick photo if it still is? TIA!

Thanks. From my recollection, there was a blue light for the lower console compartments (below the radio) as well. Is that still there or could that be the same dome light you are talking about?

The lower one is still there as well. Below the temp. settings and above the center compartment door. Again...very subtle.

I'll try to get some pics. I confess to being giddy about this feature - it is subtle, yet very, very cool.

Forget it, you just can not capture it with a mere camera. No real pic will do justice.
It's LED and just so faint and so subtle.

Go to dealer and get a real sense.

yeah, and if you change out all the interior light for blue ones, the effect is that much better (except the map lights, etc because you cant see a thing in those blues)

I wish the RL blue floor lights were available for the TSX. I was having my car detailed after purchase and was given the demo RL for the night, and boy does it have ambient lights. 2 lights where the 1 on the center ceiling console was found in the tsx. Also, when you unlock the RL the front outer door handles have blue lights inside them. Go check it out at the dealer.

I miss the crap out of that light when I go from our TSX to my Accord EX ('00) in the dark. That blue glow is fantastic...

I purchased this, Complete BLUE LED Pkg 2004 - 2006 Acura TSX - 5 Lights! , a few weeks ago on ebay and it looks pretty nice. One difference I like is that the blue lights are LED's, while the OEM ones are some sort of incandescent, and they get hot!

The vendor I got this from, tec_toyz, was great to deal with and has a 100% rating out of 1866 transactions - hard to beat. They were easy to install - just watch out for the hot dome lights...

I was wondering wondering what does that light at the ceiling shine on? Is it supposed to be shining on the shift so that silver shines back in blue? (for AT)..

If you also get the Escort 8500 Blue, and run the cord to your power jack below the climate you get a blue light by your shifter, and the blue lights on the face of the radar detector. Adds more blue lights....since we love blue lights!!!

well of course the OEM ones get hot - they get hot like all real light bulbs do.
Regardless of how bright, in blue LED, you still can't read squat, looks cool, but useless.
That's why I left out the dome light as factory - for the occasion I actually really need real illumination.

I mainly posted that as a caution to anyone who changes them to watch out when removing the OEM bulbs. Even after not having been on for very long, they were very hot and I had to use a rag to hold them after removal.

As far as providing sufficient light for reading, that is a matter I didn't address and don't dispute. For the most part I just wanted to see how they'd look since it wasn't all that expensive....

What makes you think I didn't? I do have an aversion to getting shocked, after all.

This is getting silly....

Thanks for the pics lilballa. kinda disappointing that they still used that dingy green for the instrument panel buttons though..

Does anyone know a source for the Euro Accord footwell lights? From the Honda site it looks like even the Fit gets footwell lights so I have to think they would be easy to add.

The blue ambient light on my ceiling turns on and off sporadically. Should this light always be on if your lights are on? I initially thought it was connected with the HFL system because it turns on and off at random times. Maybe there is a short in my car's wiring?

Unhappy

Anyone ever have any experience changing the blue ambient light from the ceiling? It looks to me it's part of the Homelink module, but I'm not too sure. Mine doesn't work.
