Blitzsafe XM Compatible Edition
OK, so for those of us without Navi, it would probably work OK? (I'd be getting the non-ipod version too.) Just wondering if it's safe to buy... I like the idea of selecting it from the normal mode buttons. Only thing that could be a problem is figuring out where to drill a hole to install the audio jack...
I've had the unit installed for about 3 weeks now and I've been having problems getting it to switch to CD-C. I haven't called Blitz-safe, but I didn't order from them. I got mine from discountcarstereo.com. I'm unsure if I should try to return mine and wait it out or just keep using the one I have now (with the problems) and ebay it when the new one comes out.
The thing is, from what I understand, blitzsafe isn't very prompt about doing things, they said they'd have an XM compatable iPod adapter out months ago, and it only came out about a month ago, several months after they said it would be out. So if they say they'll have the problem resolved "in a few weeks" does that mean they'll have it resolved in 3 weeks, or 3 months? I lived without my iPod in my car long enough waiting for the XM compatable iPod adapter to come out, I don't want to be stuck without my iPod any more, especially since I didn't sign up for XM when my trial ended.
I'm thinking I'll just stick it out with the current model and than ebay it when a newer one comes out, hopefully one that will allow you to skip songs through the steering wheel controls. Although, I imagine I'll loose quite a bit of money if I have to e bay a used and only semi-functional iPod adapter.
