Blinded by the light

wrapped up like a....

Anyway, has anyone one experienced the solar flare known as reflection from the alumi trim.
The other day, before my sunglasses made it over my eyes, a nuclear like bright light blinded me and nearly caused a messy insurance claim. I'm not complaing, cause I love the alumi trim. Just something i have to live with. It was really bad that day because even the Acura emblem on the steering wheel was at the perfect angle for the blinding reflection. I had to drive for a minute with my head down and to the center of the car.

I know what you mean. The little things can piss you off (anything reflective). Like for an example, my dad has a nice shiny citizen watch and when were on the road for awhile, the sun makes it way to the watch and then into my face. If the road is straight enough, it will stay like that unless I say, "Move your damn watch!" Also, windshields from opposing traffic sometimes and some of the tractor trailers have aluminum siding (the whole thing). The best thing to do when that happens is look down on to the road for the lines in the road and brake lights, same thing when some idiot has their brights on in the opposing direction.

now that I think about it, the sunroof was to blame. It was open and the auto dimming feature didn't work. That is, I didn't think of closing it and pulling the cover shut. All I could think was duck and cover or drop and roll or whatever we're supposed to do when a nuke blast goes off.

I've had the emblem on the steering wheel sun glare at my eye. Nothing from the aluminum trim though.

Out of the side of my eyes, I see a reflective glare from the alumi trim on the side windows. Doesn't blind, but can be distracting cuz it looks like something pulling up very close to me...

Same thing happened to me, Siliobear. It startled me at first, but then I realized it was NOT a nuclear explosion and I felt better.

Whatever...a nuclear explosion would be nice compared to the pain you feel when you grab the shifter on a hot sunny day!! YEOW!

No tint will save you from the sun light coming from an opened sunroof!
