Black Interior

Hello All,

I am having a tough time deciding over a TSX. I love the ebony and quartz interior almost equally. I do however think that the ebony looks slightly "cooler."

My father on the other hand says that I will regret it, if i purchase the ebony interior. What do you guys think? He continuously repeats, "You will regret it, you'll see what i mean."

Aside from the regretting he also has an opinion on CG and Ebony. I really like CG, and he says that Ebony would look like crap on CG because it is dark on dark.

I respectfully disagree I have CG + ebony and I think it looks wonderful. Also the green glass keeps the leather from getting too hot even on sunny days and a dark leather tends to look cleaner than light leather.

FIrst of all i live in San Diego where it's sunny 300++ days a years so it was a consideration for me too. If you look at the windows of the tsx, tl etc you'll see they come from the factory looking slightly tinted. there is actually a pigment in the windows that helps abosrb/reflect(not really sure which) the sunlight. This is good for two things, keeps the leather from getting too hot and protects the interior somewhat from all the sunlight.

oh sweet

BTW: Did you tint your CG? Does it look good? I love the way tint looks on the SSM, black and blue...not too sure about CG though.

i think ebony is the only way to go. i think the quartz is a little dull/drab IMO. i have black + ebony, which is prolly the hottest (as in temperature) combination (i live in the valley in california - 100+ weather in the summer), and i don't regret getting black/ebony at all. i think it looks the best. i also got my windows tinted this weekend, which makes it look even better and keeps it cooler.

I disagree completely. I think the quartz pops, and the ebony is too cold. I am coming off an ebony interior now, so the change is good. Quartz won't be as hot in the summer, and it contrasts nicely with the Carbon Gray. I don't think quartz is as good a choice on SSM or MSM, but for CG it rocks.

well... that's your opinion.

another bonus about ebony is that it gets less dirty (like the actual leather)... not talking about the dust you'll be able to see.

CG/Ebony here and I can't imagine anything different. Any leather is going to get hot in the summer, but i must say the ebony looks fantastic, especially with titanium trim.

I have a CG/Ebony and love it... I live in Atlanta and it gets pretty dang hot here, but so far the ebony leather has been cooler than my mustang with tan leather... I think it must be the green tinting

Go for the ebony interior it looks so sweet with the metallic trim because the metallic trim also matches the shifter if you have the 6spd because of the black leather in the shift boot and the metallic trim on the top of the shifter

I got the ebony leather with Nighthawk Black exterior....and im in Florida but I love the ebony, hands down the most elegant IMO looks great with the silver trim and black dash....no tint yet, but have not noticed any diff in temperature when compared to my Audi a4 with beige leather.....doesnt get as dirty...
