Bad to pop out of gear without clutch?
As long as there is not major engine load during acceleration or decceleration, is it bad to pop out of gear to coast to a stop at a red light or wherever? I normally clutch in and into neutral coming to a red light. But i figure why wear and tear the clutch master cylinder just to go into neutral, just gently push into neutral without the clutch. What side effects come from this?
If the trans isn't under load, by either putting power to the wheels or using engine braking, then there is no damage to be had.
I don't know if I would say it would substantially increase the life of the clutch hydraulic system, but if that was your goal then whatever. If that is really your concern then if you time it right you can also up shift without the clutch. However, with this method you are more likely to get a little reminder (read:grinding noises) that the clutch is there for a reason.

Yes it was just an idea i had, i doubt i will really change my driving habits though. And yes i've prac iced shifting without using the clutch at all. Fun to learn but i prefer to use the clutch still.
I just wasn't sure if the synchro's could be damaged or wear and tear popping out without clutch.

There would be no wear on the syncros, provided that you pop it out of (or shift between) gear(s) quick enough. The reason being that the gear is traveling at the same speed as the cone while the gear is engaged and they will continue at approximately the same speed until either the vehicle speed or engine speed changes.
