b.h.p differance

does anyone know why my british accord 2.4 i is rated at 190 bhp but the acura tsx is rated at 200 bhp, just interested what tuning gives the extra 10 hp, when they have the same engine.

thanks

I don't know for sure so I'm sure someone w/ the right answer will tell you but that could be anything from a slightly different intake to slightly different exhaust to anything in between the two.

Between the 03-05 TSX (200hp) and the UK Accord/AU Accord Euro (190hp), the difference is in the ECU. A Hondata'd Accord Euro shows a larger gain in power to bring it up to the same level as a Hondata'd 03-05 TSX. So in my opinion, it's all in the ECU.

maybe 190hp is the SAE rating.....
US TSx probably will get 190hp after SAE correction

Hope, 190hp was the figure back in 03 when SAE was not followed.

Does that mean the 06 is actually 15 hp over the 05?

Just a little clarification. There was no 03 TSX's. Even though the TSX was introduced in April 03 here in U.S., it was still an 04 TSX.

Sorry, I was going on the actual year, not model year. But yeah, I'm referring to the MY04-05 TSX.
