AVG MPG coldfusion page for my TSX

I have been having my car about 2 months now, and I have not put 2000 miles on it yet. I have built a coldfusion page to keep track of my TSX avg mpg. I had 2 miles on the car when I got it and a full tank of gas. Enjoy!!

Thanks guys

Took a couple of hours to create and get it how I wanted it. I am willing to give the code to anyone who wants to use it for there car you would need a place to host it however.

Sweet Site!!

I've been doing the exact same thing for the past 5 months and I fill up at least once a week. So far,
Avg. mpg: 25.38mpg
Avg. gallons per fill up: 11.03 gallons
Avg. cost of fillup: $26.57
Avg. cost per mile: $0.10
Avg. price paid per gallon: $2.463 per gallon
Total paid for fuel over this period: $679.05

I have 49k miles, mostly highway and I always use Premium and typically from Marathon.

Pretty cool site.

Has anyone else noticed that the MPG reported in the MID overstates the mileage by ~ 2 mpg? I guess as long as it's consistent it's not really a problem. BTW, I'm getting 28.3 MPG (according to MID) with just over 2000 miles and do about 60/40 Hwy/City with a 6MT. In actuality it's probably around 26.

Actually, since I got the 06, I've been tracking the MID variance on my mileage spreadsheet and my average variance right now is around 1.3 or so. I think this just has to do with the car assuming that there is more gas in the tank than there really is since it seems like the fuel gauge is pretty inaccurate.

Ya the fuel gauge messes with me. I thought the tank was 17.2 gallons, but when taking long highway trips avg 30-31mpg I pull over to fill up and the amount going in in relation to how much it looks like should go in is never close. I rarely go below a quarter tank before refueling, but the gauge doesn't seem to make much sense. I'm guessing it's a security precaution for those who have the tendency to run their tanks low.

I noticed this too. I usually run my tank low and have never been able to get more than 14.5 gallons in it. The guage is pretty bad... the "idiot light" comes on with what I would guess is about 5 or 6 gallons remaining. At 24 mpg (which is my avg) that's a little premature to be warning me of running out of gas. Even when the needle is on 'E' I could still get anther 50 or so miles.

My 2006 is five weeks old. I turned 700 miles this morning. I am getting 29.1 MPG so far. I am running mostly highway miles though.

The fuel guage is actually pretty accurate. I run the tank pretty low. The light comes in when I have used almost exactly 50L of fuel from the time I filled up. The only thing is that the guage is very slow at the top and fast to fall until the middle and then is pretty normal under 40%.

Cool page!

I use this app for my Palm: http://www.freewarepalm.com/calculator/fuellog.shtml

It's decent. A few things I would change... but it's free.

I have had my 2005 TSX 5AT since the end of July 2005 and I haven't been thrilled with the gas mileage. I guess I was hoping for better. My boyfriend has a BMW 3-series and drives about the same as I do and he gets closer to 26 or 27 mpg on average.

I started recording with my first fill up at 452 miles. Here are my stats:

Average MPG 25.56
Avg Miles Per Tank 355.20
Avg days between fills 8.2
Max Miles Per Tank 395
Total Miles 8,880
Total amount spent 924.20
Fuel Cost per Mile 0.100

I drive a lot of highway miles. My trip to work is 25 miles one way and all but 3-4 miles is highway. Of course I also make some short trips to the store or out to lunch. I haven't taken the car on any long trips or anything yet.
