AUX vs. DICE/iSimple

Hey everyone,

I have a Canadian 06 TSX (no xm button) without navi and have been reading everywhere about the advantages/disadvantages to the DICE and iSimple adapters.

Is the sound that much better over just the normal AUX input in the center console? I'm just trying to justify the $200 for maybe a bit better quality audio and steering wheel controls...

Thanks

There is no real difference in sound. You're paying for mostly that, steering wheel controls.

I have an 04 TSX and I would advice you to get the iSimple. Right now I have the Dice and I had to get it replace twice. The first ime it was not reading it. The second time it would not charge and then it would play and then go out every now and then. When I get back from my deployment I am going to get the iSimple. But there is know difference in sound quality.

I have the USASPEC iPod adaptor for my iPhone 3GS and 1st Gen iPod touch. I haven't notice in sound difference between the AUX or adaptor. I just use the AUX connector when traveling around town (pain to remove the cases to plug into adaptor). I use the adaptor when traveling out of town and I want to maintain the charge on the iPhone/iPod.

I thought it would be cool to get the adaptor for my iPhone/iPod for steering wheel controls. The AUX connection works well enough and it is faster to select directly from the iPod/iPhone.

Careful, the iSimple kits will not work if you don't have an XM button (this is from their website).
