For ANYONE who valets their car (pix)
Well got done eating at a expensive restaurant with my mom and a few other family members. Valet brings the car around and this is what they did. Valet tried to act like it was already their but when the manager came to look at it he said that it obviously was from the garage because it was the same color paint as the garage. So their insurance is covering it now i am in need of an excellent body shop. PS always check your care BEFORE leaving the place.

Yeah the garage where they park is pretty small but its not ridiculously small. Plus its not like the TSX is a large car....

Sorry bout your luck man! Get that thing fixed!
Did they at least have the decency to reimburse your money for dinner? Anything?

Damn it man! what kind of asshat would think you were gullible enough to believe that the damage was already there. Like you weren't smart enough to know the truth. I bet you felt like whipping his ass.

I agree, make sure you get a couple reputable body shops take a look at the damage, it looks like in the first picture that the body lines/ door gaps have shifted, look how tight the passenger door and rear door look, I got rear-ended at VERY low speeds, so low there was no damage done to my car, a slight indent, but it was enough to shift all my body lines on the passenger side.

go after depreciated value as well ... since ur car will now have body filler in the rear door and panel, it's never going to be the same ... talk to thier insurance company about depreciated value ... good get a nice chunk of money

Sheesh. Was this valet guy drunk? This is one of the reasons I'm weary about getting my car valet parked. If I can avoid it I do. However, some places purposefully have no available parking except for valet. When one is with a date or out with others in these instances driving several blocks away just to find parking is out of the question.

i feel your pain.
last time i valeted a car, they backed it to close to something and somehow broke the rear window. they tried to clean it up so i couldn't see any broken glass. entirely swept up the rear seat and everything. and i think they must have finished breaking all the rest of the glass off the window frame. worst thing was, it wasn't even my car. luckily my friend understood. and the valet actually paid for it.

I definitely feel your pain...
I could never understand why ppl ASSume a valet will take good care of a strangers car? To add insult to injury, ppl even tip them!
For crying out loud didn't anyone ever learn anything from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off?"

Well the restaurant is in down town Denver. So parking is a bitch and not free. Its like 12 bucks but most nice restaurants offer "complementary valet" so just have to tip the valet and its all good. But I have valet my car many times before this without issue. Just pisses me off...

It was already there!?
I would've been all over them like stink on sh*t if they said that to me!!
I've always been a little wary of valetting, but I'll probably steer clear even more now just cause of that. Makes me burn inside just thinking of it.

I would have ripped his fucking head off.............saying he didnt do it! Then I would have asked him then who did dumbass!? Its obvious that the driver of the vehicle scraped a painted pole or wall! I know from experience what different types of impacts look like and no hit / run in that case. Thats why no one drives my car. A valet had a small accident with my moms Jag and she didnt notice until she got home. And of course they denied any wrong doing.
Always check your car after leaving any public place even if you parked it. And park as far away from other cars as possible. And dont park in New York city streets. Trust me.

it's good you could at least hold the guy responsible for damaging your car.
my car got scrapped up a month ago in a parking lot and i'll never be able to find the a-hole that did it.
