Anyone get their brakes done at Midas?

Anyone get their brakes done at Midas? Are they an ok place to get them done?

It depends on your local Midas shop...some shops are better/worse than the average. Try and see if you can find any complaints about your local shop.

I hear mostly horror stories, but they're usually regarding oil changes

Expensive and definitely ain't worth the price to have them do your brakes! I would stay away from that place.

I assume you don't want to go to a dealer, so I'd ask around and get some recommendations. I'm sure the local speed shops should be able to give you some names. The dealer service people might even give you some names.

I had a positive experience with them. But there is a lot to be said for the local people that work there, and if they care about your car's situation.

yeah i definitely don't want to get them done at the dealership. They wanted to charge me $500 to get my rear brakes done with rotor resurfacing.

REDICULOUS!!!! Not even $$450 Each service interval Volvo Charges that much for one axle, and they replace the rotor, not "resurfacing". But I would go elsewhere, I took a hyundai there only because I did not care about the car and they STILL F-ED it up.
