Anybody else getting constant brake squeal?

Hey guys, I always thought this was normal but it is getting rather annoying now. Every time I park the car somewhere for about an hour maybe and i start it up and drive away, the brakes always have a high pitched squeal (sounding like an cheap old car). Its rather annoying for me because in school I park in a parking lot and it always rings up when I reach the parking attendant booth, and when I exit the lot, it bothers some people since there is a restaurant/cafe with some outdoor seating by the exit path. The squeal occurs when i step on the brakes, so now i try to drive as slowly as I can before the booth and then just semi-hard stop it so it wont prolong the squeal. This problem, however, goes away after a few minutes of driving. A friend mentioned to me if it might the be axil and now that is getting me concerned. I've brought it up the dealer last time for check-up and they told me it was just the brake dust coming off. It is rather annoying now and was wondering what you guys think it may be and if anyone else experience the same.

It's just dust and corrosion that forms on the rotors while the car sits. My car does the same but it's gone by the 3rd stop. You could try new pads and/or rotors but it seems like an awfully expensive fix for what is essentially a minor aesthetic annoyance.

I would wager it has something to do with the environment you live in. Here in Pittsburgh, the average relative humidity is probably quite a bit higher than in the San Jose. My rotors start developing a thin layer of rust after just a couple hours. It doesn't do any harm other than the squeaking.

Here in San Jose the average relative humidity is usually from 60% to 80% (which is about equivalent to Pittsburgh according to cityrating.com), but I didn't think of it that way.

This happens when you dont use the Gell / Goop that you put on the back of the brake pads when they are replaced .

I use the goo, but it still has the noise. I figure it must be the after market rotors and hawks pads. The momemt it cools for a bit and the car is used again it makes this sound.

The dealer told me something, but i dunno how to say it in english. lol.
anyway, other's telling me that even if i choose to do it the dealer's way, the sound will start again in a couple months.

i have the problem too, and i changed it "recently". My problem was that after i changed it, there was supposed to be this "break-in" period where i shouldn't slam the break because then it causes the disk to kind of harden and not be able to flex. now, it squeaks at random times, at start up or after a long drive. It's pretty bareable, but kind of embarassing because you would'nt expect a nice car like a TSX to squeak to a stop.

I have the same problem! I bought the car in the summer and didn't experience any squealing. But come fall time, the brakes started to squeal once i drive off after the car has been sitting. I'm thinking it is the moisture from all the rainy days in the fall that cause rusting around the rotors when the car sits that make the brakes squeal. It does go away after a few stops, but it is still really annoying and yes, quite embarrasing.
