Any way to increase redline?

The RSX Type S has essentially the same engine with less displacement. But it has 8000rpm. The TSX not. Any way to change this? (after warranty, that is :P )

Destroke your engine to 2 liters.

The piston speed in the TSX is already higher than the S2000s. Be careful increasing the redline. It's likely going to cause some issues if not done correctly.

Easier yet, swap in the K20 type-s. If not, you're doomed, consider you already have it revving as high as it'll get.

Is it? I thought the S2000 reached higher piston speeds (mainly due to the redline difference). At any given RPM, the TSX might have higher piston speeds, though.

At the same rpms, the TSX has higher piston speeds than the S2000 due to the long stroke of the K24 engine.

Sorry, I should have stated that more clearly. Thanks for pointing it out.

Piston speed is also proportional to stroke. I think the ratio of S2000 redline to TSX redline isn't bigger than TSX stroke to S2000 stroke. So it's possible that average piston speeds are higher in the TSX.

....and where have you been, rb?! The technical discussions have been lacking without you.

Sure, I can increase the redline. How about 10,000 rpm?

18k rpm would mean i need an engine rebuild after a few hundred km's, the guy said if they lower it to 13k rpm it will last a lot longer.

No one else has Hondata yet. I'm not sure what he's talking about. Not only that, the K-pro setup currently isn't allowing that much of a redline increase. 1400 is a LOT. Even the Type-R flash for the RSX only brought it up about 700 rpm. K-Pro applications for the RSX can't even bring it up 1400 rpms.

You are definitely giving the impression that you are BS'ing about this new software that is due in one month, and that you already have that supposedly allows you to rev to 8500, but hasn't caused you any problems yet.

All I'm asking is for you to give us some meat. Quickly! :shit:
