Another New Owner
I've been lurking on this forum for a little over a week and thought it was time that introduced myself.
I bought my TSX last Monday (5/16) -- it was an early birthday present to myself. The TSX is Carbon Grey with Ebony interior, 5AT with Navi. The car only had 2 miles on it when it was delivered -- it is now ~ 50 miles shy of completing the breakin period.
The TSX is my second car. The other car in my stable is a 1990 911 Cabriolet that has a little over 107,000 miles on it and still looks and runs great.
I traded in a 1999 Chevy S10 V6 to get the TSX. I'd bought the S10 to be my primary commuter car, as well as to be a Home Depot hauler, etc. However, we haven't done any Home Depot-type projects around the house for quite a while, so I thought I would get a commuter car that I enjoyed driving a little more than I enjoyed driving the truck.
The TSX has fit the bill nicely. It rides better, brakes better, gets better gas mileage, and is easier to park. The TSX's back seat is a LOT more comfortable than the jump seat in the truck's extended cab.
I don't mind the TSX's 200hp. It's quick enough to get me around town, and if I really want to tear up the road, I have the Porsche.
Here's what I wish the TSX had:
* Why oh why couldn't they have had the six-disk CD changer play MP3's? My parents' 300C (yah, with the HEMI!) has a six-disk CD changer that plays MP3's. I burned 3 CD's for my mom that will give them days of listening enjoyment if they ever do that cross-country road trip they've been talking about.
* I wish it was designed to run on regular gas. I know, it's only .20/gallon, but it's a nice feeling to be able to fill up with the cheaper stuff.
* There's a limited set of bike racks that will fit the TSX. I'm short and hate the idea of using a roof rack. I'd rather not put a trunk rack on the TSX (paint scratching and overall stability). And I haven't found anyone who makes a hitch for the TSX so I can put a hitch rack on.
Sorry to be so wordy. I should quit typing and go out and DRIVE!

First off, WELCOME!!!
The TSX CAN run on regular gas, the engine will not be damaged but you just won't get the full performance from the engine. So if your 911 is already enough to satisfy your performance needs, feel free to run the TSX with regular stuff
Haha... you got that right, go out and DRIVE!!! Gotta warn ya, AZ could be addictive, so you might end up typing and typing
