Always getted worried when I park the TSX at the mall
I'm meeting up a girl I just started going out with tomorrow at the mall, but I get worried about where I can park the TSX. Since it has no side moldings, even if it did I still get worried where to park it.
I wonder what the best way to not worry about the car, I think I may have to find an end parking space, if not I don't know where to park then or park far.
What do you do?

Doesn't matter if you park far or close. Of course try to avoid spot between two cars that are squeezing the empty spot in between, or something like that.
But bottom line is that shit can happen anywhere, any time to any car... so just park it and go about your business.
Too many small things can happen in life, not worth dwelling dude

park far away, park on an end.. and if possible angle the nose to towards the outside or wall (when you're on the end.. that way you leave the largest gap between the side of your car and the side of the car next to you... if you angle out when they swing their door they won't hit you...

thanks for the tips, but let's see if i can find a spot big enough to be able to angle the nose on the end parking lot. the one problem is that there may not be a lot of parking around 1pm when i meet her up. we're eating at either outback or at cheesecake factory and those places are crowded. i want to park in a parking garage, but it is on the other side of the mall where these restaurants are and that wouldn't make sense.

no scratch/dent on my car for 4 1/2 month and hope will stay this way.
Things to avoid...
No parking next to a coupe.
No parking next to a poorly maintained car (if they dont' care about their cars, they don't car about yours).
No parking next to a pedestrian walkway/staircase/elevator.
No squeezing in between 2 SUVs, 2 oversized vehicles, 2 Vans (esp),...
Park far from the crowds, but at a well lit area.
Avoid vallet parking.
Avoid parking on the streets, especially near an intersection or an entrance/exit of a parking lot/drive way/store entrance.
No parking under a tree, a poll, or near a tree, or near any sorts of a poll.
Avoid poorly maintained parking lots/structures.
Avoid overly crowded areas.
Things to do...
Parking on the end of a row without an empty spot on the right side of the car in a parking structure. (doesn't quite work for a mall parking structure, but for most other business structures, since most people commute alone, if you park without a spot on the right side, there is no way you will get a dent).
Parking next to a wall - at least you save one side.
Park in between two well maintained cars.

Don't park too far away. It' just begs for some dick to mess with it. Find a curb and park next to it if possible. Then park as close as you can. Or an end spot with the extra yellow lines. If thats not possible park about midway where there's a few open spots together. That way the odds are there will always be closer spots for others to take rather than next to you.
Perfect example here. I parked close to the curb like normal and when I came out someone had parked next to me but close to the line. They still had plenty of room though.
curb
space between
Also a shot of the yellow lines since I don't know what else to call it.
Random picture of where I park at work.
Sorry for the picture whoring.

well, i took your guys advice. at old orchard there was this parking lot at the end and there was this huge parking space where they made the line really wide, so i took this parking space. when i came back there was a ford taurus parked by me, but the space was even wider than the one Tony4311 posted. i'm happy for now . but, i was like wtf when i was walking and saw this new Infiniti M35x parked next to this big SUV. I was like if I had that M35x, I would park it even farther than the TSX.

This is what kills me sometimes. I used to be like that all the time. Worrying about where I park my car and who I'm parking next to.
It's just a car people. Not that I would not care if someone scratched or dented my car, but I don't let it run my life and dictate how or where I should park.....

Your brother is going on a second date with the girl you met and ate with at the mall? Damn close family to share like that!

i rather have it ugly for when its parked between two POC cars... than come back to my car and see a shiny dent on my door(s)...
but of course, thats just me.... i love my brand new acura...
notice i bought 6...its 25" in length each. i measured the TSX and its approx. 75" from the front of the door all the way back pass the back door a little...so thats why i bought 3 for each side, enough to cover basically the critical areas of where denting can occur....
