Question Aftermarket Bluetooth Question

I have a 04 without Navi and I added the USA Spec adapter for my Ipod. My question is can I or has anyone attached an aftermarket bluetooth to their system with a USA Spec adapter already installed? I want to use the car speaker intergration part of the Parrots. I've seen people with the Parrot bluetooths but they haven't stated whether or not they have anything else attached to their systems. IF this has been done, are there any pics or notes of the install(s).

Yes - people have approached itegration of the Parrot kits w/ the front speakers of the TSX... but they didn't (and shouldn't) use the USASpec adapter. You'd have to switch to CD-C mode, and then select "disc 5" everytime you wanted to make or receive a call. People have approached it in 1 of 2 ways:

1 - hardwire to the speakers via the amp
2 - aftermarket plug n play adapters

In both cases, the mute function of the head unit was able to be used... in option #1, you have to insert a pin into the male connector that plugs into the head unit itself (can't remember the exact pin #), and give it +12v when you want it to "activate". There are a few threads on this topic (TSX specific too)... but you have to search in the Audio/Video section of the Off Topic forums.
