Talking Acura TLC service...

An odd thing happened this week. I received a survey from Acura asking me about how their TLC service was -- you know, the on-call road service you get when you buy the car...

Except I never used this service. Apparently, the guy I sold the car to last December 3rd already got in trouble. I wonder if he ran out of gas...

You guys ever call TLC? I never had a problem with my car, so I never used them.

I've never had to use them. I've used AAA with my other cars, but haven't had a need to call TLC for the TSX yet (thank God).

i called them on the second day of car ownership because I was playing with car features for 3 hours and the battery was dead the next day, so I figuire I would test their service. When they were asking me questions one of them was "how many miles on the car?"... my answer was 10. Rep didn't understand or something and asked me again 10,000? I replied, just 10

Its free or should I say included in the price of the car we should utilize more often before it expires. Have them bring you some gas

I called them once when my parent's MDX decided to lock my @$$ out of it, while running, as I was checking the status of a parking meter in Coconut Grove at around 11:30PM on a Friday night. It was me and 6 buddies and when I hopped out, everyone did and somehow, it happened. A/C on FanSpeed 5, music on 26, expression on my face: priceless! Oh well, took them about 1.5 hours to send a locksmith to break into the car for me. That was pretty long, but it was also pretty late...

I've never called. Doesn't it expire at 50k miles along with your warranty?

I believe so. Kinda sucks. I'll always keep AAA no matter what.

I was so stupid, I dropped my keys in the trunk with the doors locked and closed the trunk to know I was locked out. It was about 8 PM on a Saturday evening in Houston and I luckily had the number on my cell phone (the window stickers were peeled off when I got my tint). Called them and they told me it could take upto 2 hours, but the guy got there in 10 minutes & popped the door open in a few seconds. The service was free but I tipped the guy for helping me out! I was so glad that Acura offered this service after it worked out great.

Okkkkkkkkkkkk, I'm happy for you and all, but the sentence " the guy got there in 10mins and popped the door open in a few seconds" is disconcerting to me!!!!!!! To think that our TSX doors can be opened like it was just a silly nuisance.

Well, I guess I didn't mention that the alarm did go off and I had to get the remote to turn it off.
