This has been talked about before and people have already done them. With the reasons that people want to stick to its original name of accord. People have switched names around for a long time now, esp with integra and rsx. I myself believe it wouldn't be bad to debadge (looks good) but putting on the accord to me is going a little out of the way. But then again that's just my opinion.

I think it looks good....

Personally, i'd even go so far as doing the entire euro conversion- headlights, acura to honda logos front and back.

I rather like the Accord label, but here are some thoughts:

- The font size of ACURA on the left is too big compared to Accord on the right side. Why not put a matching Honda label on the left? The balance would look better.

- It looks cleaner without the labels. I don't know what the Type R accomplishes.

ugh... there is no Type R is there? If you're gonna rebadge your car, I think it would be better if you went the whole way, get a Honda logo, maybe the Euro-R symbol, get rid of the Acura name on the back and get the Honda grill too... then it wouldn't look so strange. Acura Accord Type-R just doesn't sound right

There is no Accord TypeR, not to mention under the Acura brand. There is, however, Honda Accord EuroR. I agree with some of the people above. If you wanna go with the Accord name, go all the way. However, I would still leave the EuroR badge off though since technically the Acura TSX is NOT an EuroR. The TSX is called Accord 24TL in Japan. My suggestion is not to immitate something that doesn't exist in the U.S.

IMO, immitation = RICE!!!

I like that TypeR. Its something different then other peoples cars. If there were 2 acuras parked next to each other you know whice one is yours.

That's what the Panic button on the key fob is for. You press it, and the car that honks is yours.

Your badging looks odd. As if you got the 5th gen Accord badge and stuck it on there. The Acura should go as well as the Type R. Everyone knows the Accord Type R only existed for the last generation in Europe. IMO, you took a nice looking car and made it 2 fast 2 furious for me.

I'm with tony. Get rid of the Type R, it belongs to cheap ass Type R wannabe EF Civic hatches. Not on a classy car like the TSX. You should know better.

HAHAHA!! I love everybodys replies. I wanted to be different. I was planning to take off the acura symbol and the acura sign in the back. I just hate being plain and typical. What the heck, our TSX is really an Accord RIGHT? I get to show America that I drive the real Honda ACCORD!!!!!

agree with mostly everyone here...the type-R is gay since there is no Accord Type-R for this generation...also if you like the accord badge, you should rebadge the whole car like everyone is suggesting...

I got no problem with the Accord badge. Heck, Honda badges would look cool to me too. But the Type R badge is just plain rice and has no place on the TSX or Accord or anything outside of a real Type R for that matter.

Very clever. Hmmm ... do you ever wonder whether this board has any gay members? I personally know of at least one. Maybe there's a less offensive way to express an opinion that demonstrates a more adult grasp of the English language.

Just a thought ...

We're glad that you realized how gay it was! So as soon as you put the TSX back on the quicker you will be part of the TSX family again. hahaha
And as for mcourt, offending the gay people on this board has nothing to do with me, I didn't know you were the gay rights activist of the board! If your gay and I offended you, then you CHOSE to be offended, that's a personal problem, not mine!

Coming from a country that recently legalized same-sex marriages, I completely echo your opinion....

However I must clarify, to us 'young folk', when something is 'gay' that doesn't mean that it is homosexual. It is simply a slang term that refers to the 'lameness' of an action.

Granted, not that this explanation makes things any better...

J.

I agree completely, When I say "that's gay" the last thing going through my head is homosexuality. Its a slang term, thats it, nothing more.

Perhaps you're taking this a little too seriously mcourt??

HOLY S$%T! This is what I was expecting. The more people
b@#!%ing about it, the better it is. You know what I am going to do is put up a KIA RIO logo on it! I think that would be a better choice...
