did u ever get to open up your old key? if you did, on the bottom part of the transmitter there should be a series of numbers...one of them is the FCC # if that matches with the 09TSX FCC that i posted in the above pic, then the 09TSX transmitter will work with ur car....let me know if you want to trade ur TL transmitter with my TSX transmitter...

I just heard a radio ad for a local place.

the "Keyosk" lol, in the mall.
specializing in automotive key replacement/replication, especially
those with microchips installed.
claiming low price, quick service, blah, blah.

it's a little kiosk in the mall...

hmmm....

gonna go take my switchblade key that's uncut and unprogrammed to them
and see what happens. I'm guessing there's other Keyosks out there, seeing
how it's one of those standard type Simon or whatever malls everyone has.

I'll report back, I'll go have em do it tomorrow.

$80 to cut it, program the immobilizer and the remote isn't that bad considering what most other people are paying. And $119 for a milled switchblade key is about the norm. Although there's a locksmith here in Orlando I've heard will mill key blanks. But at this point it's second hand information. I plan on calling them tomorrow to see what they have to say.

i think we should all be mechanics or locksmiths, we should get paid like lawyers and doctors $80 just for that?

i just found out why, i think the 07 TL key's frequency is 3xxMHz, right? the keyless entry function in australia is 433.9MHz, do you guys know if the new TSX key is running in 433.9MHz? and the FCC ID at the end is G8D-382H-A instead of G8D-439H-A on the 07TL key. I will upload some pic later on
