what a difference 7 years has made-Many excellent memories of the many roadtrips made with my husband and mom. My car was very well taken care of back in the day. I would wash and detail it often. It now has become a form of transportation. I am not as fuzzy with it. Yes I still park far away from stores, etc. I still have it serviced by acura dealers. I still get compliments on how nice it looks. When my daughter's dog is staying with me I take him for rides in the car. I also drive friends to the beach and other places. My car is loaded with sand from the beach. My car has done well and has been excellent after almost 164K miles.

Met my husband at the jersey shore. We were both ocean lovers. We moved to the coast of North Carolina 8 years ago on Nov. 5th. I now try to go to the beach as much as possible. Now trying to get thru the holidays again without my husband and mom. This will be the 2nd year. I have volunteered to help out at a homeless thanksgiving dinner that is taking place on Saturday, the 23rd. I also am on the pender county relay for life committee.

It is good to see you posting here again.
I too suffered a loss recently. Not a family member but a good friend whom I knew for 17 years. Cancer took him at 58 years old. He was not a smoker. Took care of himself. Did all the right things.
On a brighter note, I love the Western part of North Carolina. Drove the Blue Ridge Parkway there last year and will drive there again next year (God willing of course and in case there is no God, then with a little luck). (Yes, I am agnostic. There may be a God or there may not).
Take care and hope you post in these forums more often.

Sorry to hear about your friend. My mom also was not a smoker but lung cancer killed her. I started going back to church a year ago.but still agnostic. Maybe or maybe not will my beliefs change.

nj2pa2nc, I feel like I should chime in and say glad to be reading your posts and I'm sorry for your losses.
My father died on christmas 18 years ago. The holidays are bittersweet for me, and it drove me to question my beliefs as well. I'm an atheist but I'm thinking of going back to church for the habit/comfort of it all.
My TSX is still running strong. She's made the taxing drive from LA to Vegas many times, and has indulged me on many a cloverleaf. Many good times in this car, especially bringing both of my kids home from the hospital. I kinda like having a car this long personally. You get to fully enjoy the experience, IMO. I may not care for her like she's brand new anymore, but I'm as grateful as I can be to an inanimate object.
