Next time try not being a idiot.
To add some relevance to my post tho, you used to be able to skip gears on most older cars/ trucks, but anymore its not a good idea. Remeber you arent driving a old farm truck.
I go from 4th to 6th all the time, or 2nd to 4th in a neighborhood, and sometimes 3rd to 6th. I have my fun getting up to speed, but once I'm there, there's no reason to visit the other gears just for the sake of shifting. I let the revs fall as needed and let out the clutch. I guess that's rev matching. It's only like a 1/2 second longer on the clutch so it feels pretty fluid.
If I'm accelerating really lightly, I'll use all the gears.

I see absolutely no reason why, if I'm gunning it in 4th up an on-ramp on the expressway all the way up to 60-65 MPH, press the clutch, shift to 6th, and let the RPMs fall to about 3K before engaging the clutch (which would be the normal RPM/MPH combo if I were cruising at that speed) why that would harm anything. The synchros are doing minimal work, they're correcting the layshaft/driveshaft RPM mismatch by less than 1K RPM. How would that wear thru anything?
Same with a 2nd-4th hop I do all the time. Yes, 1st to 3rd is rough and not practical, and 3rd to 5th takes a little doing, but the gears on a TSX are pretty close together. As long as you ease off the gas so the RPMs have fallen when you re-engage the clutch, I don't see how any of this would cause a problem.
Or am I on crack?

The amount of confusion about shifting techniques always surprises me! Anyway back to the topic....yes, I do skip gears once in a while, both upshifting and downshifting. My rule is "if I skip a gear, I double clutch." That minimizes wear on the synchros, and as most people have been saying, rev-matching is definately in order.
