6 MT - crowding of clutch and dead pedal?

I have an odd question for 6MT owners about the width of the foot well on the driver's side. My lady friend likes MT and I can drive one OK, if there is plenty of room in the foot well. My question is, could you operate the TSX clutch efficiently if you were wearing a ski boot? I ask because I smashed up my left leg in an MC accident a while ago am stuck wearing a bulky ski-boot type brace on the left foot for probably the next 6 months or so. I drove an MR2 recently with no problem, but had trouble with an older Celi because the indentation for the clutch within the footwell was really narrow: on the Celi there is a raised "dead pedal" just to the left of the clutch pedal that gets in the way, making it difficult to pin the clutch pedal all the way to the floor. How much room is there on the 6 MT Tsx?
The local Acura dealer seldom has 6MT in inventory and never as demos, so it is difficult to find opportunity to actually drive a 6 MT TSX or even sit in one. If you can give me an idea of the width of the well that takes the clutch pedal, that will help me to know whether I should rule out MT when we order the car. If anyone can take a quick pic of this detail, that would be great. Thnx.

Just from my judgement of driving other cars there is plenty of space on the left hand side.. my only small complaint is i'd like a little more knee room on the right side.

I would suggest the

If you have your heart set on the MT then I would'nt let possibly 6 months of not being able to drive the car stop me from getting the tranny I truly wanted. Think about how much you'll regret it after your leg is healed. If there isn't enough room (Doesn'st matter what anyone says here you'll have to try it out for yourself to be sure) then why not wait the 6 months before buying?

there is a significant amount of room. enough room for a woman to reach down and take her high heels off (yes, it was at a stop and in neutral thank you very much).

I am teh shortness and I have to sort of sit way up there so my key chain tickles my right knee. drives me crazy every once in a while.

I'm 6'2'' with size 13 feet and I have more than enough room. Plus the dead pedal is just the right size. It is about the same size as my shoe and is far enough away to push the clutch down with out any interference.

I don't think hitting the keys is a factor of how tall you are, but based on how close you sit to the wheel. I sit my seat very close because I don't like extending my legs far to move the clutch, so my legs are very bent... which leads to hitting the keys.

Thanks for the input, everyone. Looks like the best thing to do is wait a bit. Honey babe really prefers MT and this is to be _her_ car...

Ditto but this would be my 2nd week w/ my TSX so I will adjust soon. You should have seen me when I had the RSX~~ "lean back" gangsta-style shizzle.... :p
