40,000 miles

Hi guys I'm reaching my 40,000miles mark for the car. What are the things that should be change during this servicing?

Exhaust manifold. Exchange for a new custom fabricated turbo manifold and turbo setup. Lemme know how it works out.

Just kidding... or am I...

Just do normal maintenance. Maybe check your 'plugs and gaps. Other than that, tune-ups shouldn't be necessary...

I wouldn't worry about 40k, just changed the oil and air filter.

And to correct one thing, TSX comes with super thin tip irridium spark plugs, don't gap them because you will damage the firing tip.....

I have 65k in my car. I haven't done nothing except changing oil. Even the tires still look good. But I have noticed one thing. I am begining to hear wind noise from the door. So... I guess it is a good idea to lube the plastic shield more often...

Go to the owners link on the Acura website, tells you both severe and normal maintenance schedule items that need to be done.

Do you have the stock original tires after 65k?

I'm approaching 40K miles and want to know what they do and the typical cost for the 40K service.

Its a typical oil change and tire rotation. Around $40 I would guess.

When would you replace the ATF? I haven't done that yet and I'm near 70k. Only thing the dealer has done for me at each 10k mile interval is the oil change and rotate the tires. Brake pads and tires were replaced at 50k

didn't see that listed anywhere at:

There are several threads on tranny fluid replacement. I thought it was at 60K mi. but that doesn't seem to be the case when looking at the maintenance schedules. I was planning to do mine at around 30K mi. I think if you're at 70K mi. then you should probably think about doing it soon. From what I gather its rather straightforward, you just drain and fill.

I'm not sure, but don't most automatic transmissions have a filter that needs to be replaced when changing the fluid?
