3m Double side tape, advise pls.

I am looking for 3m double side tape to redo my lip spoiler. The problem is that 3m makes so much variety of double side tape, that i am not sure which one to use.
Any suggestion?

I worked for an autobody repair place and there is a 3m tape that is grey, thin and very sticky, specifically meant for autos, that is the one you want. If I can find a pic online, I'll post it.

EDIT
Okay found 3M numbers 06382, 06383, 06384.

Called 3M Automotive Attachment Tape.

if you want a trick, heat it up with a heat gun before you apply it and it will stick like a mofo. We use that stuff at work on dashboards to mount displays and such and it lasts forever

Im pretty sure that when you go to the automotive store it has a red backing. 3M also make a foam attachment tape that has a white backing and is a little thicker, make sure that you don't get that one. Another suggestion to the adhesion process. I would wipe the bottom of the bumper where the lip is going to attach with paint thinner before you re-apply the lip. Some people use rubbing alcohol but it doesn't always do the job. Paint thinner will clean and remove any debris/wax that is on the surface.

Yeah, you should use denatured alcohol instead.
