350Z vs S2K
350Z, the S2K is a sweet ride but kind of dated... they had a comparo a while ago in a mag..wif the S2K, RX-8, 350Z. you can take a look at their instrumented findings..
but i the powerband in the Z is intoxicating..the S2K is a little short in the power dept.

what are you going to use it for? daily driver or weekend use? I would go with the S2K... but I'm biased because I owned one. If you are above 6', you will suffer from back pains for any drive over an hour in the S2k though. One of the main reasons I sold the car to my brother. Anyway, it's the only car to put a grin on my face each and every time getting in.
350Z got more balls. And yes there are a few problems with the Z and G35C but it's all under warranty anyways.
Should check out www.my350z.com and www.clubs2ki.com. But let me warn you about the guys at the S2K forums cause apprently 99% of them thinks their S2K is same as a Ferrai and be able to smoke anything on the streets!!!

The 350Z is nice....but in all honesty, the S2000 provides a better connection between driver and road. The S2000 is the closest thing to a streetable race car that you can buy for around $30k. I would go for the S2000 for a true driver's car. However, if you're looking for a more balanced and less intense driving experience, the 350Z would make a good choice.

S2000 takes first place in this August 03 Comparo.
Beats the Z4, 350Z Convertible, Boxster and Audi TT Convertible

Gilbo, was that MT comparison the '04 or '03 S2k?
The only surprise in that comparo was the S2k's poor braking. Otherwise, they confirmed that for straight-line grunt, the Z is your car, but the S2k outhandles it.

I would argue the MRS is even more of a race car than the S2K, it weighs bout 800lbs less is a bit slower but its handling is even more impressive due to its MR layout and light weight. too bad it isn't avaialbe in canada.

You're right about the MR-S weighing less though.
I know some of you (including me) are a crazy Honda fan. But I'm sorry. There is no comparsion between the S2K and 350Z. I think the only Honda car that could compare to the 350Z is the NSX. But we all know that the NSX costs 3 times more than the 350Z. Don't get me wrong, S2K is a really nice car but it DOES NOT compare to a 350Z.

I'd go with the S2000. Great handling, high-revving so it feels special (nothing special owning an engine with minvans, sedans etc, no matter how great it is) and higher quality interior. IMO, the S2000 looks better too.
The 350Z has going for it, it's the hot car right now, great power at any speed, NAV available and other options the S2000 does not have. Its a great handler as well.
Both are great sports cars. I'd just go with the S2000.

I disagree. If you think 350Z is way better, read more review and you will find out.
If you drive both of them, you will pick S2K for sure.
Ya know...sometimes it's not just about the horsepower. It's nice to have a lot of ponies under the hood, but honestly, most people never ever get to use all that power on the street. On the other hand, finding a car that has a nice balance of power, handling, interior comfort and quality, and exterior styling. Although the 350Z is a nice car, it's got a number of short comings that are sometimes hard to overlook. Having driven the S2000 extensively, I would honestly say that if you don't have carry a lot of stuff, it's definitely a better balanced car.
