what kind of maintenance you guys do on 30k miles? do you go to dealership to do that? can you do through indpt mech to do thhis maintenance?

 

RTFM!!! Work can be done at any qualified mechanic, Acura doesn't specify much for the 30K interval. The dealer will tell you otherwise. Who do you believe?

 

Depends on the dealer. The acura dealer near me in NC would probably do that but the one I try to get to in Pa told me to follow the maintenance minder.

 

30000 normal service: 1.4hrs labor
Inspect auto tensioner indicator and drive belts, replace air filter and cabin filter, change oil and rotate tires.

30000 severe service: 1.5hrs labor
Inspect auto tensioner indicator and drive belts, inspect brakes and traction control, inspect axle boots for leakage, inspect tie rod ends, steering gearbox and gearbox boots, inspect suspension components, lubricate door hood and trunk hinges locks and latches. Replace Air filter, change oil, rotate tires.

IMO invest in a maintenance manual and do it yourself... all of the above mentioned stuff it pretty easy. otherwise, it can be done anywhere, but i would make sure a general mechanic knows what acura suggests (above) to check before taking it to them.
